We are so grateful for all God has done in our lives! Acts 1:8 from the Bible, Jesus speaking, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me.” That desire to share the Gospel with others causes us to invite and give our personal testimony to friends and neighbors continually.
On a weekly basis, our Bus Ministry goes to neighborhoods in McMinnville, Dayton, and Lafayette, inviting children and adults to attend Sunday School. We have two buses that pick up people for Sunday morning activities. Our Bus Captains and their teams go from house to house, neighborhood to neighborhood, on Saturday, encouraging attendance on Sunday.
Each week, we have several men and women who go to minister to those in the county jail. They study the Bible together, encouraging those in the jail to seek God’s plan for their lives, make a new start, and find a better way.
Care Home Ministry
The elderly, who unable to attend church on a regular basis, need to hear God’s Word and have an opportunity to know what is promised to them in the Bible. Several men go to both Osprey Pointe and Fircrest Assisted Living in McMinnville every Sunday and teach, sharing the Gospel with the residents.
Home Bible Studies
Since the beginning of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, we have offered to those interested the opportunity to study the Bible in the privacy of their home. Many people have taken advantage of this, and scheduled a time each week to get together with someone from ALPC and study. The non-denominational study lasts for one hour each week and is free of charge. There is so much to learn from God’s Word–such an opportunity to benefit and grow.
If you would be interested in having a Home Bible Study or have any questions about it, please call the church at 503-472-1585 and speak with Candy. She will put you in contact with a teacher, and you can begin right away.
